A bit about our history …
They would probably not have imagined that they were about to initiate a family business that has now lasted seventy years.
Our parents Filippo and Filomena also chose to continue working in the vineyards, officially founding the family farm and improving it year after year.
The love that our parents had for the vineyards was also transmitted to us, their sons, Vito, Luciano and Domenico and since we were young we were involved in the activity of the farm.
Nowadays, we run all the work needed in the vineyards and our expertise is based on high standard scientific and technical background and, of course, the forty years of experience that our parents are still providing us.
La Vinarte because …
The vineyards are the heart of the winery
The vineyards are the heart of the winery and every wine we make is born and grown from them.
We own 15 hectares of vineyards and we manage 10 hectares more.
Our property crosses four different villages: Santa Maria Imbaro, Mozzagrogna, Rocca San Giovanni e Fossacesia, all located in the middle of the Frentane hills.
The Montepulciano, is our prize wine and its production covers the majority of the vineyards.
We also produce other important red wines such as cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz and white wines such as Pecorino and Trebbiano.
Our vineyards are cultivated as espallier vines and traditional over head trellis system called “pergola Abruzzese” . The high density of plantation together with properly balaced farmimg techniques provides an optimum compromise between quality and production.
